⚠️ Solar inverters and batteries carry lethal voltage. Photovoltaic strings produce dangerous DC voltage whenever there is light. There is no "off switch" for the panels. Batteries store large amounts of energy. Treat every system as live.

What our guides are, and aren't

The information on this site is provided for general educational purposes only. Our troubleshooting steps are deliberately limited to external, switch-level actions: reading the code, reducing load, checking ventilation, reseating a low-voltage communication cable, and safely power-cycling using the inverter's own breakers and isolators.

We will never instruct you to open the inverter, access internal components, or work on DC/AC power wiring. Those tasks must be performed by a licensed solar installer or qualified electrician.

Always stop and call a professional if…

  • A code is rated Stop, call a pro on our site.
  • You smell burning, see scorch marks, smoke, or damaged cables.
  • A fault keeps returning after the safe steps.
  • Any step would require opening equipment or touching wiring.
  • You are unsure, at any point.

No warranty

We work to keep our guides accurate and cite manufacturer sources, but fault codes vary by model and firmware, and we cannot guarantee that any guide fits your exact situation. You use this information at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of this site. Following a guide here does not replace professional advice or your manufacturer's documentation, and may affect your warranty, so check with your installer.

For your specific system, your installer and the manufacturer's official support are always the final authority.
